pinknruby are a duet made up of two incredibly creative souls, Mihaela and Paul. I discovered their CD "Garden" and played it over and over. Each time, I discovered more nuance and depth. One of the main reasons for gothwave.com is to be a resource for young people who are troubled or in need. As an outsider myself I have always felt different than everyone else. As a teenager questioning my sexuality, I became depressed and suidical. Years later I am here and strong, but I could have used some resources to know that I wasn't alone. That's why I am presenting some links to places where you can see that you aren't alone, that there are many people around to support you and be here for you. Suicide Forum is a place you can visit if you are having suicidal thoughts or thougts of hurting yourself. Sopor Aeternus and the Ensemble of Shadows. Among the darkest yet most alluring artists anywhere. The Ensemble is a group of spirits which give inspiration to the songs. This person is a genius. Going by the name Anna Varney Cantodea, Sopor Aeternus' personality and music are by turns male and female. Tales of vampires, the dead, necrophilia and suicide fill the insightful lyrics. This amazing piece of art glass work is by the Italian master Lucio Bubacco. "Gentle Devil" is striking in it's detail as is all of Bubacco's work. See our Art and Artists Page for more examples of his work as well as other pieces of dark themed art.
